New Routledge WW1 book release (including my chapter on Australian composers)

I'm delighted to finally get my hands on a hard copy of the new Routledge book The Great War and the British Empre: Culture and society. It contains numerous fascinating chapters which look at the First World War from the cultural and social perspective of countries that can sometimes be left out of the greater narrative of the war - including Singapore, Ireland and of course, Australia. My own contribution looks at Australian composers and the First World War, and the way that it has been memorialised, particularly up to the point of the Gallipoli centenary in 2015.

The Routledge page about the book is here, and you can also buy it in eBook (Kindle) format from Amazon.
